The specialized panel of disease management in Iranian medicine is documented by the efforts of the Academy of Medical Sciences and in cooperation with the Iranian Medicine Office and the Ministry of Health, the Iranian Traditional Medicine Scientific Association, the Medical System Organization and the Faculty of Traditional Medicine of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences with the presence of subspecialized professors of internal medicine, experts in Iranian medicine and traditional pharmacy were held on 11 May 2023, at the Academy of Medical Sciences.
In this scientific meeting, which was attended by Mrs. Dr. Zohra Elahian, the head of the Iranian Medicine faction of the Islamic Council, after the welcome and the introductory speech by Dr. Mohagheghi, the director of the wisdom and traditional medicine department of the Academy of Medical Sciences, Dr. Naseri, Dr. Fartukzadeh and Dr. Mujahidi They gave explanations about the general principles of management of gastrointestinal diseases in Iranian medicine and the objectives of the panel.
Then a selection of published clinical trials on the effect of Iranian medicine interventions in digestive diseases in five specialized panels (functional dyspepsia, constipation, reflux, fatty liver, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease) with lectures by professors of Iranian gastroenterology and medicine and with a strong presence The academic staff members of Babol University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Mozaffarpur, Dr. Mujahedi and Ms. Rezghi from the professors of traditional medicine and pharmacy, and Mr. Dr. Esmaili and Ms. Catherine Behzad from the subspecialist professors of gastroenterology were presented and at the end of the summary of the scientific evidence presented, done.
Also, with the presence of the invited professors, the collection of clinical guide books of Iranian medicine in gastrointestinal diseases and also the selected book of clinical trials of Iranian medicine in gastrointestinal diseases were unveiled.
